Frequently Asked Questions

How do I grant calendar access?

When you first open RemindersCall, you'll be asked to allow calendar access. If you declined, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars → RemindersCall and toggle it on.

Why isn't my phone ringing?

Check that: (1) You've selected at least one calendar in the app's Settings tab. (2) You have upcoming events in the next 30 days. (3) Your device has an internet connection. The reminder call arrives approximately 3-4 minutes before the event starts.

Does it work with Do Not Disturb?

Yes. VoIP calls bypass most Do Not Disturb settings, which is exactly why RemindersCall uses a phone call instead of a regular notification.

Which calendars are supported?

RemindersCall works with any calendar available in your iPhone's Calendar app — iCloud, Google, Outlook, Exchange, and any CalDAV-compatible service.

How often does the app sync?

You can configure the sync interval in Settings: every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour. You can also trigger a manual sync at any time.

Can I choose which events trigger calls?

Currently, all non-all-day events from your selected calendars will trigger reminder calls. Calendar-level filtering is available in Settings.

What happens when I answer the call?

You'll hear a brief spoken message with your event title and how many minutes until it starts. The call ends automatically after the message plays.
